Asknish Bay visitor moorings

Loch Melfort Hotel has restored the moorings at Asknish Bay.

I've never fancied mooring there in anything that's blowing up from the sound of Jura

We were there on Wednesday night. Very still till morning when it got to about 5 knots fromthe south. That was still comfortable though I do remember a 2am departure from there a few years back when it had become bumpy. But the bay round the north side is well sheltered if there's room beside the fish farm.
