Serving
It would seem my inter web net provider is not a fan of Bluemoment and has blocked access to it..
Mrs Wully had the same issue with her own Weebly web site - she could log in off her phone and iPad on data but not over the wee hoose Internet.
It seems , according to Weebly, that Origin broadband think Weebly is some Russian dodgy porn/spy/mafia ISP so blocks it.
Is Comrade Webski hiding something from us? (And if so can he PM me a link - asking for a friend...)

Re: Serving
I have known the Webmeister for a good number of years.
During that time I have come to recognise him as a man without devious motives, a stranger to untruths and an all-round good egg.
I find your observations to be in poor taste, Sir and would ask that you retract them immediately.
Might I also point out that when I read the title of your post "Serving" - tha auld heart lifted at the prospect of foaming pints being produced by the Galley of Lorne's finest.
To then read that this was not the case, that you are accusing that scurrilous wee ne'er do well - apologies - Seil's very own Tim Burners Leigh-oh
as an apologist and agent for Vlad the bald - has sent me into a depth of despair from which there may be no return.
just sayin'.....

Re: Serving
I can assure yer Lardship that no slur on Balcardines fynest internet guru was intended, especially as he has just PM’d me the link to his own private collection of scenic seaside postcards on the dark web.
As for locations to sit in the sun pouring beer doon yer neck I fear it might be a week or two yet and you might have to embark on a short voyage to the superior next closest local booze boutique..
Word on the street is that fowk frae Edinbugger were ejected from a local marina today after departing home at early o’clock and trying to sneak aboard - they got sent home...also 2 lads who were looking for supplies for their wild camping trip ‘around Oban’were refused service and telt tae eff aff. “We thought we’d get here early before lockdown is lifted”
eejits.
Argyll is still closed for visitors...

My thinking is that I'll not be allowed in Gods Country for at least 9 weeks from now - so long as there is no 2nd spike.

I hope it’s a lot sooner than that...if folk behave it will be. But people are idiots. Selfish idiots.claymore wrote:My thinking is that I'll not be allowed in Gods Country for at least 9 weeks from now - so long as there is no 2nd spike.
I’m coming to accept the fact that I hate the general public and now need to work on concealing that. Mostly.
I was hoping for freedom in July.

Re: Serving
.
You have to admit, Bluemoment would be a good name for a porn site . . . .
The good news is, I can go sailing from Friday. Sadly my crew is
a) buggered from a ditch diving episode
b) nursing a sick pussy
However, I am planning to single-hand over to Craobh in the guid shup Avy-J and chuck my mate Darren a line before I hit anything expensive. I will then fit the new stackpack and get the rigger loon there to shin up the mast and punch a couple of rivets in fer ma new lazyjacks.
Then it is working out how to fit the new windlass, service the winches and plan the fridge installation.
By that time the cat and herself should be better, and Portugal will be open for business. It's awa Sooth to seek a Port and Cheese residency permit and on to Morocco and the Canaries in due course.
Marisca, I need some bits to fix the Autohelm 2000, you said you might have a spare fluxgate compass?? I sent you a PM but have had nae reply.

Re: Serving
I dunno really. Think just goes hard over and the boat goes round in circles, so assumed it was the fluxgate. I seem to remember you saying you had one? Basically any gubbins that you think is working and I can just weld it in or whatever.marisca wrote:I was self isolating mentally and physically, I thought it was a control board you were wanting.
What I would really like is someone who knew what they were looking at to have a look at it. I don't think I can afford Raymarine though. Are you up for a guddle if I send you it?

Re: Serving
Erm.... is it a new to the boat Autohelm?
I might be set up for mounting to port and you have it mounted on starboard? There is a wee screw for selecting which, might be worth a turn of that screw?
I spent a while going round in circles off Troon marina with a ‘new’ Autohelm...
Have you checked Craobh is open and that there is anyone working?

Re: Serving
Craobh will take boats from Friday I think. Darren has been locked down there on board one of his many boats for a few weeks. He's doing a Craobh to Tarbert delivery on Friday.
Alastair's son will do my wee rigging job.
Autohelm came with the boat and I am sure it was working normally on the trip down here from Dunstaffnage two and a half years ago.
