Just spent ten minutes wrestling with a shed door and nailing it shut. Hope Fairwinds is OK on her mooring. Dogs blowing off chains here, and some spectacular thunder and lightning earlier.

We recorded sustained winds of over 40kt yesterday aboard the feed barge at work. It's kind of fun driving a power boat in those conditions but I'm feeling it today!

I only pegged out the pillow cases this morning, too windy for the bottom sheet and it's not got reefing points.

The good news is that the Oban pontoons seem to be still all in order. I had expected them to be taken away each winter but they are obviously sturdier than that. And today (wind about F4/5 SW) the water inside the breakwater pontoon was a lot smoother than outside.

The bad news is that the ketch that broke from a mooring in Dunstaffnage bay during the last storm is still on the beach east of Poppies.
