Edinburgh or Greenock to Ardfern?
Is anyone heading to Ardfern with a wee bit of spare space. I bought an engine from there and they would like the trolley it was on back. Its just a square(ish) frame with castors and would fit in most cars (if they're not full of sails, cushions, beer, etc.).
Thanks for thinking about it.

Re: Edinburgh or Greenock to Ardfern?
All being well I'm heading from Yorkshire via M6, M74, M8, Erskine bridge to Crinan ish and don't mind diverting the odd few miles. Bearing in mind it's already a 6 hour drive, the diversion is better after the M8 when I have got there.
Hamilton services is a frequent pi(ss)t stop so would suit me fine.
Other junctions I don't tend to get off at so don't know of any suitable exchange sites.
Will the trolley go on Seminole so I can get it from Tayvallich to Ardfern by boat?
Oh, this is on Monday 23/04/18.

Thanks Bob. There's no great hurry for it to get there and your offer would be a bit of a faff for you. So thanks but no thanks. Try and enjoy your St George's day drive.

Going up on Monday but the car is already full to bursting - if they are not too anxious I'll be back in a week or two...

Alastair - I'm in Crieff (as I think you know, given that I sold you a dodgy outboard 2 years ago!). I'm going to Ardfern on Wednesday if that's of any use? Rgds, Hugh.

Thanks Shuggy. Crieff is a wee bit out my way, though.
The outboard, rather than being dodgy, turned out to be far too powerful for an Avon Redcrest so was passed on to a bigger heavier dinghy - I got a complaint that it wouldn't start a couple of days ago, and no, he hasn't checked the fuel or the plug!
I was looking for someone like Anne and Tim, popping up to their boat after staying at their Ed'burg pad. Is she on this forum? Claymore would know.

Yes, one has been a member here for some time, but hasn't posted lately as I mislaid my note of my password.marisca wrote:

Maybe we could meet, and sort out something on my next visit to Murrayfield.

Highly honoured Ma'am. I note you will be just round the corner from my humble abode on 1st May when you visit Ed'burg Uni King's Buildings. Perhaps you could pick it up then?

Panic over. HRH popped round and the trolley fitted into the boot of the bolide nae bother. It's now back in Ardfern. I wonder if there's any one else useful on this forum?
