sound of Canna
Anyone been up this way recently? Are the Basking sharks there just now, my young son has a fascination with sharks and is desperate to see one when we are sailing. Last time I went through the Sound of Canna about 12 years ago there was about a hundred of them swimming about, would be great to show him if they are there.
Re: sound of Canna
Try Gunna Sound if you're down that way as we've always found them there in numbers. They cruise around in the shallows and will often come and take a look at the boat, which can be quite scary as this enormous mouth looks about to devour you before diverting at the last minute.

I'll ask Aquaplane if we can get up there when I visit him next week

We've been around the Small Isles most of the week and no basking sharks seen. A Minke off Cairns of Coll on Thursday and the occasional porpoise but otherwise a dearth of cetaceans.
