Re: BT
Getting back to the subject in hand - Libby Barr - is she really a real person - has emailed me today to tell me that everything is happening tomorrow morning. Whopie Do
Out of curiosity I visit the BT site and log in to track the order.
Its been cancelled!
I phone up
It hasn't been cancelled.
I wonder if it would encroach upon the civil liberties of BT employees to have an E compulsorily tattoo'd on their Elbows to better enable them to find their Arses?

Fortunately there are numerous options for using BT wires and getting Broadband without all the histrionics. We use the wires but pay someone else. No fuss .. works fine. BT are about as customer oriented as Royal Mail. Both ex state monopolies who have heard of customers, got the PR sorted out, but don't really know or want anything to do with them - besides billing.

I can assure you that a policy of compulsory tattooing would result in severe consequences for employee relations. However, your suggesting has been taken up by the people who organise management training;claymore wrote:GI wonder if it would encroach upon the civil liberties of BT employees to have an E compulsorily tattoo'd on their Elbows to better enable them to find their Arses?

Re: BT
Just had a pleasant conversation with a young chap from BT. He has promised to put us on the queue list to get our email back. Apparently a very long list. They're not admitting it per se but but emails have been hacked.
"It'll be about 2-3 days for your call back, sir"
Hmm. We'll see.

Re: BT
Well - Saturday morning here - the 'BT Engineer' came yesterday and connected the BT Infinity modem and new router. After a bit of faff I got the television working and set the Wifi codes for ipads, phones etc.
Seems to be working at around 54 whatnots per S which is as quick as it needs to be to stop buffering on the tv etc.
However.....
The phone is not working. No dial tone, cannot send or receive - we did have a dial tone last night...
Oh....
And the BT department that deals with that is closed at weekends
Wonderful, truly wonderful.

Internet is racing along at the speed of light - well, between 42 and 53 miniparsleybutties a second.
However - the phone has no dial tone and the caller display thingy isn't working.
Delighted to report that a BT Enchineer is coming along soon to rectify.........
