Couldn't have been a good party!

Post by marisca »

According to Marinetraffic Geoff and Contender left the fleshpots of Lochmaddy at 04:20 this morning to get through the Sound of Harris and to the St Kilda Race start off Pabbay for 09:00 or whenever the start is. Wind is ~5kt NE and is not expected to be much more in the next 24 hours.

AIS signal lost from Marinetraffic about 6 hours ago. Anyone fancy a wager on when Contender will finish?

Ran out of wind 15 mi short of Hirta, retired, motored there to join fleet in village bay, departed 0800 this morning, Lochmady 1900. Now at the trough in the pub.
Geoff.
"Contender" Rival 32: Roseneath in winter, Mooring off Gourock in summer.
