That's exactly where my head is, very nice but do I need it.
Like you say I have the app that reads wind speed, I also have a wee thing that spins like mad most of the time at the top of my mast and tells me speed and direction.
I do fancy the idea of a digital weather station for the boat, but not found anything yet that's making me spend..

That's the very thing, I also need to replace my very old masthead anemometer, but I think I would like both 
But until the oil industry sorts itself out I may have to try and keep the old one running.
