The Old Inn, Carbost, Loch Harport, Skye: Wed night trad sessions, Fri night bit of everything, open to anyone who wants to join in.

It's this week's "Best British pub" in the Daily Telegraph. In case you're wondering, I am visiting the mother-in-law; otherwise I rarely see the DT.

Re Carbost, I'm not surprised. The Wednesday and Friday sessions at the Old Inn are a real treat and genuine sit-in sessions. They often have visiting bands on Saturday nights. Good beers on draft. We're kind of planning to call in there on 3-5 June for a ceilidh bash with our boaty musician pals fae the Ceilidh Cruise.
