Different poems surely,
And hotch'd and blew wi' might and main;
Till first ae caper, syne anither,
Tam tint his reason ' thegither,
And roars out, "Weel done, Cutty-sark!"
And in an instant all was dark:
And scarcely had he Maggie rallied,
When out the hellish legion sallied.
Cutty-sark was my cue word to be ready to plunge the ballroom into darkness during the recital of Tam O' Shanter.

For Wee Willie Winkie, the room would go dark as it was announced so that the guy doing the recital could come on stage carrying his lit candle, dressed in his goonie. Fitting his radio mic pack was not a pleasant sight!

It will soon be that time of year again, though I don't seem to work on many Burns Suppers now.

Well - an interesting day from which I am now recovered. Having a spot of bother below the belt at present - was seen by a Consultant who I think is of Zulu descent. His rather large hands made my manhood look ever so modest.....

All sympathy gratefully received, William - there's precious little of it coming from Dear Heart.
