I'm contemplating removing about 10 sq mtrs of the stuff and I did a small test patch with an Aldi £24 multi-tool scraper which showed the glue to be quite dark. It was laid 19 yrs ago and I'm thinking they used Sikaflex and not the Treadmaster epoxy which is a cream colour. Of course, it could be any other epoxy ....
If Sikaflex, it would explain how less effort was required to remove the patch.
ps. The vibration from the Aldi tool after only a short while convinced me to open the wallet and buy a Fein multi-tool at £200. Jings it's good.
I'm thinking of using translucent 2mm thick Correx for the templates. If anyone has an alternative eg card, please let me know.
Removing Treadmaster
Re: Removing Treadmaster
Replaced the Correx with protectascreen.com equivalent. £25 for 5 sheets each 2.4 by 1.2mts by 2mm.
It's clear enough to see through to the Treadmaster and mark it off.
Usefully, it's completely waterproof ...

Re: Removing Treadmaster
We had a team meeting t'other day and it was deemed desirable to explore different colours ie different to that selected by the team leader. It's my opeenion that this could be the only tartan Treadmaster boat unless I re-gain control of the bridge ....
You need not fear the outcome of this worthy endeavour. I handsomely sponsored the yard odd-job boy for his worthy cause involving a bungee jump in anticipation.
