Can I second that bu**er though not in the literal sence. Never mind, try for next w/e, it's bound to be nice then, I'm coming on holiday. That's that theory shot down in flames then  depart sharpish like.

Sorry to hear about your trip being cancelled but I'm sure you'll be able to come up with an alternative housework avoidance strategy.

I'm still hoping to get a windy wee window on Sunday for the trip to Balvicar though wee weather windows make me wery wary since they are wont to wanish without warning.

Re Weekend Weather

Hope the North Sea won't be too bad. I'm taking an 18 Tonne truck on Hull to Zeebrugge ferry on Friday night. Working in the centre of Paris for a week, and returning Zeebrugge - Rosyth Friday 25th night.

Sorry to bring this thread back on topic, though it's a w/e later, I've been keeping ½ an eye on the weather for the bank holiday w/e and can't make head nor tale of it.

I'm going to be cruising in the Clyde and all them long sea lochs/kyles and such. Is the best policy to see what happens? Getting a trend seems to be beyond the weather forcasters let alone mere mortals.

Any local knowledge/gems welcome.

BTW, I know that if you can't see X from y it's raining, if you can it's about to rain.

Aqua

Will be doing similar this weekend too. Will be in Kip on Sunday night as my wife doesn't get the holiday monday and it means that she gets Sunday night aboard working as she does in Inverclyde. I get to take the boat home on Monday. Yipee!!

Weather looks up and down , but latest metcheck for Rothesay has wind steadily dropping all weekend.

Donald,

I'm launching on Saturday at Largs. Plan A involved possible visits to Millport or Holy Loch depending on which way the wind is blowing and how much.

Since I will probably be on plan F at least by Sunday, I could be at Kip too. What's your boat called? I'll listen out on VHF.
