Loch Teacups

Post by claymore »

Just read in my RYA mag that its been declared out of bounds because there's something rare about a reef.
I did think Shard had cleared it of reefs some time ago when he was reconfiguring his keel.

Mine doesn't say that.

There is a proposal to ban anchoring in Loch T. It has not happened yet.
Marine Scotland, in partnership with SNH, are running some drop in events ahead of the February 2 deadline for comments from the public. The Oban event is on Wed 10th Dec in the Coran Halls between 3pm -9pm.
It looks as though they are being a bit lazy as to my (limited) knowledge the reefs in question do not cover the whole of Loch T.
The consultation documents are here:
http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/marin ... tation2014

Sorry if that does not work as a hot link but it should copy & paste.

Buy me enough beer in Auly's Bar and I'll go along and 'consult' with them if you like?

Did the tricky bit OK but managed to hit a rock that everyone else misses. Takes years of training......
