While the Septics Freeze

Post by marisca »

Last year the former colonies had one of their worst winters while we had one of the warmest. This year ice formed on Lake Superior 10 days earlier than last year and today all 50 states are freezing - meanwhile the good ship Marisca was cruising around the Clyde for the last 2 days. Yesterday was sublime, a spinnaker run to the Cloch in warm sunshine and then to the fleshpots of Rothesay. Today back to JWD with sightings of 5 other sailing vessels on the way. I'm getting tempted to just leave her in.

Last winter I was so tempted, and again this year, but I had a few below the water jobs to do, but planning these with a view to remaining afloat winter 2015.
I've noted so many out enjoying the water since lifting Contender out, that I'm somewhat miffed. I've never even tried our heater!
Geoff.
"Contender" Rival 32: Roseneath in winter, Mooring off Gourock in summer.
