Was mentioned in TOP.
My first venture up the West Coast was in 1973 and apart from a couple of seasons when Dear Heart allocated me other priorities, I've been there ever since.
The aforementioned Tobermory Triangle has come as something of a shock - I can't remember a mention in any of the pilot books and have just been leafing through The Lonely Planet to no avail.
Can someone help please, but firstly, is it like Bermuda, a place to be avoided?

Re: The Tobermory Triangle
If there's a "Bermuda Triangle" of the area, I'd nominate the one bounded by about Craignure, Lismore Light and the southern tip of Morven Peninsular.
I've lost count of the number times I've come down the sound eastbound in a good breeze to get becalmed there, or headed into the sound in good wind to suddenly die crossing the line between Lismore and Lady Rock lights.
I blame the spirits of the wreck off Duart, something spooky about that triangle!
