Re: Blow wind, come wrack
We had a good sail at the weekend with the wind force obtaining 49.7 mph on the wind guage during our passage from Ardrossan to Inchmarnock Island prior to going into the Kyles and then overnight in Rothesay. I was onboard Westbound Adventurer for the last wee sail of the season before being lifted out at the end of the month. The boat not me! Once we got the second reef in the main and the jib half furled we were away on a wing and prayer until we got into the more sheltered waters. Nothing the yacht nor old dogs onboard couldnt handle, despite the usual moaning of the forecast being all wrong "again". A wee Jura in Rothesay soon thawed us out. A sedate passage was enjoyed on Sunday to return. Over for another year.

We left Greenock for Portavadie on Sunday and although bloody cold it was a pleasant motor round the Kyles.
We saw quite a few boats out and about and even a few with sails up.

Mah wee boatie is still in commission and will remain so.
I'm still kayaking, windsurfing and surfing and will as long as the conditions are tolerable.
( air temp above 9 or 10 degrees for windsurfing, wind speed less the 5 knots for surfing. A nice calm sunny day for the yak.)
I've got a thick Snugg wetsuit,Goretex, fleece and an Eberspacher.
I'm really looking forward to some winter high pressure sailing.
If the weather is truly shyte then there is youtube and a cupboard full of good whusky, logs for the stove and plans to be made for the next decent spell of weather.
Winter? Bring it on.

I think you'll be using your logs rather than your kayak with this weeks weather!

Was on the boat in the JWD yesterday. About 0.25" of ice on the deck - has it been snowing in Greenock? Power was on despite the efforts of the local wildlife, pity they chose the earth wire.

David Beckham gets into a taxi and he sees the driver looking at him in the rear view mirror. After about 5 minutes the driver says "OK I give in, give me a clue"
Beckham says "I had a glittering career at Manchester United, played in America and got over a 100 caps for England, is that enough?"
Driver says "No you thick t**t, where do you want to go?"

Re: Blow wind, come wrack
Two married friends are out drinking one night when one turns to the other and says, “You know, I don’t know what else to do. Whenever I go home after we’ve been out drinking, I turn the headlights off before I get to the driveway, I shut off the engine, and coast into the garage. Then I take my shoes off before I go into the house, I sneak up the stairs, I get undressed in the bathroom, ease into bed, and my wife still wakes up and yells at me for staying out so late!”
His friend looks at him and says, “Well, you’re obviously taking the wrong approach. I screech into the driveway, slam the door, storm up the steps, throw my shoes into the closet, jump into bed, rub my hands on my wife’s arse and say, ‘How about a blowjob?’ And she’s always sound asleep.”

Girl gets married and has 12 children. Sadly, Husband dies and being just turned 32 she remarries and has another 6 children. Sadly husband dies and being in her late 30s she remarries and has 3 more then sadly she dies.
At the funeral the Priest says "well, at last they are together"
"Kitty and her 2 husbands?" asked one of the mourners.
"No, - her legs" murmured the Priest

God almighty. It's only November. Go out and sweep up some dead leaves or something.
