Inverness Marina

Post by Fingal »

Lovely pontoons and handy for crew changes, but a bit of a cheek to charge £2.50 per metre per day plus a charge for electric when the toilets are still only a portacabin. Nice to meet Jim (Rowana) here though.

Nice meeting you too Ken. Loved your Green Boat, especially the heater!

In praise of Inverness Marina

Post by Fingal »

Having had an involuntary stop of 5 days at Inverenss last week we can't praise the marina too highly. They charged us a speciall low rate in view of our engine difficulties and not being there entirely by choice as it were. The new shoresude facilities look magnificent and almost finished, so thoroughly recommended as a stopping place. Inverness is also full of helpful people if you need to mend broken machinery.

. . . . if you need to mend broken machinery.

Sounds like a story here. What Broke, and how (who?) fixed it.
Might be handy to know as I could be in need myself at sometime, although I hope not!

Edit: Just found your other thread. Glad you got it sorted.
Jim

ps. What was the name of the hydraulic shoppe for future reference?
