Re: Chent's Cruise
The holiday Monday is May 6th this year so I suppose the pre-cruise social will be the evening of Thursday the 2nd for those who can make it and the sailing start on Friday. Unless there are any better ideas?

Re: Chent's Cruise
I believe the Admiral of the Silk has 90% attendance, a slightly better record than your good self.claymore wrote:I was about to ask you the same question.....Silkie wrote:The holiday Monday is May 6th

Re: Chent's Cruise
I think you will find that was not the question, nor was it the issue being discussed. More accurately the question was focussed specifically on attendance in 2013.
Argumentative wee beggar.

That would be the one where I asked if you were planning to attend.claymore wrote:More accurately the question was focussed specifically on attendance in 2013.

Re: Chent's Cruise
Excellent - I shall look forward to spending time in your wonderful company. I missed you last year and did suggest a rescue mission to extract you from the rock strewn turbulent waters of the area up river from Balvicar. The webbed one gave a rather tart response upon my suggestion.
Thought you should know.

Re: Chent's Cruise
Thank you, Claymore, been wondering about this as well. We're thinking of sailing down to the Clew Bay area this year, but time windows are a bit limited. At the moment, May looks like a possible opportunity. See how the wind blows.......

Re: Chent's Cruise
So, to business:
HW Oban is about 12:30 on the Friday, everything will start running south/east through Cuan at about 10:30.
This would seem to suggest that if we were underway in decent time on Friday, a wander northwards might be the preferred option. That, obviously is for dwellers to the South of Pladda - the Oban and Linnhe-ites could languish in their whirling pits a tad.
As we went South last year it seems sensible to vary it for 2013.
Or did I completely mess that up??!!

Chents is that semi-legendary state where the sun shines, warm breezes are F4 on the beam and where good companions and good whisky are daily blessings never taken for granted.
