According to the website for Vindö, http://www.vindonet.org.uk/boats.htm, the yard which built the Vindö also built the plug for the Vega. I always understood that the moulds for the Vega were taken from the hull of Vega no. 1 which is built in Mahogany so maybe this is what they built. The website mentions a ‘sailing plug’ for the Vindö 40 so the Vega may have been the same technique.

I must admit that for a second I thought it was a Vega. It could easily fool the uninitiated. All in all a very good pic of the Vic.
Became a full-time sailor at the end of May
