Wanted - tired/cheap Topper dinghy in Scotland

Post by Shuggy »

If anyone has an old Topper lying around I'd like to hear from them. Trolley not necessary. Scotland-based a must please. Many thanks.

I went to Irvine a few years ago - I think that they have stopped dredging the river so it might be shallow. I think you need to be towards high tide to get over the bar as well. We moored to a wall and had to allow enough in the mooring lines for the rise and fall. It's all a bit hazy because we accidentally got there for the weekend of the music festival. Visitors are welcome in the yacht club there - in fact the barman even put the pool table on to free play for us.

It's official - you win the prize for the most random reply to a thread.

But on a happier note, I suspect you were trying to reply to something different!

Now that is wierd.
The text from StonJohn4 is a direct copy I of a post I made somewhere, presumably relating to a question about Irvine!
And here it is:

This started happening a few months ago in TOP. The tentative conclusion there was that some sort of bot was responsible.
