The last time he tried to navigate back frae the Troosers, he wus heading fer Easdale so you could have the LSO blasting oot 1812 overture and a bluidy firework show onboard and he'd still miss the boat ..

No, because if you're a teensie bit over the start line in the opinion of someone, but haven't noticed yourself, you don't really want your name being too obvious.

Same reason that only a Dawn Grey Laser will do.

Yes.
You can always turn them inside out if you're trying to leave the marina incognito with someone else's wife.
