Looks good! Mental note added!

On looking through their blog I came across this interesting bit:

SOS!

We are very excited and really happy to have been selected by the big lottery fund Village SOS awards to implement our mooring project! This idea had been floated about a few times in the past, but we have manged to really get it afloat now and thanks to a big lottery fund award we hope to have the moorings in place this year! This will really help to enhance the facilities around the bay, and combined with our new wi-fi and internet system in the summer will really get things ship-shape. Now how many puns was that??

Congratulations Canna!! Wonderful news for you all and i’m sure the improvements will benefit both islanders and visitors alike. Well done everyone for all the hard work that you put into making Canna such a lovely place to live and to visit.

Brilliant news! Really delighted to hear the bid to BIG has been successful. Hopefully see some of the moorings in place when we come back in the summer.

Hi
It should really add to the facilities on the bay. And not just for visitors, it is a way to create part time jobs for islanders too, with maintenance and suchlike. Very exciting!

This has been in the pipeline for a while and we are hoping to have a half dozen or so, working with the space and still leave enough room for the bigger boats and for those who like to ‘anchor’. It will work in harmony with the bay – just a wee bit extra for visitors. We are also well under way with a new internet provider for the island and this will let us have faster access. We at the GB are aiming to get WiFi – so visitors can book their table from the bay!! Seems a wee bit modern for us…haha
And yes – will post photos and keep you updated to all things going on!

I presume that the moorings have yet to be laid, since no update or piccies.
