This as I’m looking at going a little ‘further-a-field’ with some serious intent of ‘Distillery Bagging’ as I think it’s a 'jolly-good' ‘must-do’ activity / exercise.

Tidal Gates & ‘Distillery Bagging’
Just looking for the ‘Tidal Gate Table’ which one of our very helpful Forumites compiled and published on here a wee while back.

Re: Tidal Gates & ‘Distillery Bagging’
Slack water at some of those tidal gates varies dramatically between springs and neaps so there aint no substitute for checking the correct time on the day. Or so reckons I.Silkie wrote:Bear in mind that these timings are those Claymore thinks sensible limits for a 30' motor-sailer.

It works well enough particularly if you are trying to work out how soon or how late you can get through. Sometimes you will be pushing the tide a bit but not massively so.
