Another sunny day today back in Megeve - last skiing day of current 4 week trip. :(

You'll be fine at the end of March in Flaine. The base is so dense and cold courtesy of the massive January falls that even though the afternoon snow is decidedly slushy it doesn't completely melt, and then it freezes again overnight. The locals reckon that even without fresh snow the skiing's guaranteed until Mid April.

Here's some advice: Eat plenty of beans or chilli, or better yet, chillied beans. Then take a box of matches with you. You will look spectacular in dull light!

FYI - it snowed all day yesterday and it's still snowing now. Not a massive dump but over a foot so far
