What's the thinking behind links opening in a new window or not?
Many do open in a new window but not from here.
I've been coming here long enough to have learned that I have to use the back button but I keep on closing the window and having to come back via favs, I somtimes remember, but often don't.

I presume there is a flag somewhere which can be set to control this but I've had a good look previously and been unable to find such a thing. Why not right-click the links and open them in a new tab or window?

Can you do that? Course you can!
I tended to make target=blank when I was playing with HTML but it's a few years ago now and I've forgotten lots of it.

Likewise it's been a few years since I used to edit Silkie's blog to this end but ISTR that target=new was the required statement.

I asked the same question previously but didn't get a response -

See my comment about how two different styles of url behave differently.
I like Silkie's suggestion - I need to start using the right click more often - cos I've got one - unlike those apple eaters.

Edit - neither of my 2 clickies above open a new window so I've blown my own theory out of the window - back to the drawing board.

Whether a link opens in a new window or not depends on the HTML behind the link, I don;t think the likes of us can alter that.
