Re: Bored Park Warden?
The Wardens have the numbers in their office. I think it's £10 for a set wether it's 4 numbers like ours or 5 numbers if you need 67000 or whatever the new numbers have got to now. They may charge a quid a character if you have servicable backing but I may be wrong on that. For a man of your status it's not going to break the bank even if I'm a bit out.

I'm looking forward to hearing the stories at the CC...Nick wrote:.
The only time I've experienced a public bollocking was on Mojomo when we crossed the start line for the ARC then did a 180 and plowed our way back through the field . . .

Remember the antifreeze! It probably cost more than the registration fee.aquaplane wrote: I'm going to go to the boat and MOTOR down to the wardens to pay, I'm a rebel living life on the edge me.

Ash - we did the antifreeze afterwards. The run was to charge up the batteries as quoted, empty the cludgie (blue green project - they are always banging on about it) and get a nice warm engine to add the anti freeze and change the oil filter. Someone distracted the attractive sales totty in the swindlery and sold us the wrong oil filter. She was totally enamoured by the handsome swarthy young fellow who swaggered in looking like a cross between Lord Flashman and Ben Ainslie.
PS the cost of sending the snotty letter apparently equates to the cost of the licence plate i.e. £15

Hopefully we won't need to replace the antifreeze if we run the engine next time we go up, it'll be March.ash wrote:Remember the antifreeze! It probably cost more than the registration fee.

Stormy had her beer goggles on in Maiden Marine, I only saw Young Alan and some chap after some chain, I never saw anyone, young, handsome or swarthy!

Just to get you ill-disciplined lot back on thread, Me, SWMBO & the kidlings were threatened by armed men in uniforms at Faslane. I only motored over to see what their sign said. Such tiny lettering, you had to get really close to see it said Piss Off, Go away, keep clear.Silkie wrote:Being threatened by jobsworths or bollocked by harbour police are aspects of sailing alien to me and although I did have an altercation with the Junior Service last year it was more of a skipper to skipper kind of thing.
They seemed very jumpy, but that was back in the days of the Peace campers setting up & we may well have looked like hippies to them. Still I couldn't really see them opening up on a 10 year old girl & her 6yo bro, so I hid behind them.
