.
Takes 20 - 25 minutes to get into Oban. The road has been almost entirely resurfaced.

It is quicker to drive to Balvicar from Glasgow than to Craobh or Ardfern, both of which seem to have plenty of non-local boats. If you really must use public transport then there is a train 3 tmes a day to Oban from Glasgow and fairly regular buses to Balvicar.

However, as there is no marina it is irrelevant

Everywhere - with the possible exception of Portavadie - looks better without a marina.

But it's got a bit to go before all that noise and dirt is finished.
Reminiscent of Spain, I thought!

Subtract 18 degrees surely, for the Mediterranean coast?

Subtracting 'dreech' from 25 degrees probably works out about 18...

Last time I was in Easdale there was talk of building a causeway. I think the reason given was to do with access for emergency vehicles.

Is there still talk of a causeway?

Thre is always talk of all sorts of things on Easdale island. I wouldn't pay much attention to any of it - they are all at each other's throats, so nothing much is likely to happen. I think the Council would like a causeway because the ferry costs them a fortune to run, but most islanders are against it. There are quite a few residents on Seil however who favour having the place towed a lot further out to sea . . .
