.
60ft Sei whale on a beach near Gerinish.

A sad story.

I heard on the radio they wonder what to do with it. Why not cook it and eat it. Feed quite a few people with 15 tonnes of whale. Reasonably fresh!

I remember the first time I tried whale (in Iceland), and could not tell it from beef.

Stick a few tarpaulins over it, call it the Tobermory Treasure, and the crowds will come flocking. If Dougie wass here he would tell you himself.

Dougie would have been better of in the Kilbrannan Sound about a week ago. There was a nav warning from Clyde about a 15foot plus dead whale off Carradale. We were heading to Lochranza (from Otter Ferry) , and we didn't have room for it in our hold anyway :)
