Cash machines

Post by ParaHandy »

Over the years I have had a suspicion that the more money you had in your bank account, the quicker these machines paid out. Well, recently, having entrusted the Royal Bank with a small infusion of mah money - something I rarely do as I've never trusted the fekkers efter losing ma money oan their crap shares when under the proprietorship of Fekking Goodwin - I withdrew a modest £30 and I barely had enough time to pocket the card before the pound notes flew out of the machine.

Have others experienced this? The machine was next door to a chandlery (I merely add this so that the eejit who moans that this forum is only fer boaters will give it a rest but, you never know, it might be relevant)

I vaguely remember trying to get cash out of the interactive tourist info display in Loch Maddy or Boisedale on the way to the hotel.....

Does that count?

And what is sailing if not throwing money to the winds?

As in "Where am I? What am I doing here?" Yes, I've had quite a few of these moments as well.

It's more, "Who am I" "Where the feck am I" in some cases.
