Look on the bright side. Plenty of windmills to tile at.

As father of the bride-ago, you appear to have been doing an inordinate amount of remedial work since the event.
Is this the result of an incomplete interrogation during the 'permission for proposal' phase or a misinterpretation of the word "schmurdyburdy" ?
Anyway you're now out of the loop, so there is only one known claymore afloat up here, and it's not mine..... or yours.

Well, I think that pointing out my lack of resourses, and the fact I already have a paying job I have no intention of leaving, would infuse a large dose of reality on such a "good idea".

When my Ex wanted to borrow against our house to start a retail business she thought I was mean when I refused. Silly cow.

Nerve, Naaaaa.

I'm having my second W/E off so I can't comment on the lake, I hope it's nice next W/E as we are expecting visitors from oooop North.

Lucky man! Getting the family all together, and being able to blackmail them into supporting you as you become increasingly senile sounds like a good plan. Brilliant!

We don't have to go swimming with Mr T. Noblett, do we?

I stood on the bottom rung of the boarding ladder the other week, up to the ancles is plenty near enough swimming in Windermere. The forecast looks a bit pants for the W/E, it could be just showery if you look through these rose tinted specs I have.

I went swimming in Bala last weekend. V gusty F5 going like a train, then let go of the tiller during a tack & she tacked back on me leaveing me stranded on the wrong side - briefly. Still, it all came up again quite easily once I got round to the daggerboard.

Sadly no pics of me, (camera woman wouldn't go out in case she mussed her hair) but this is my nephew setting out the following day when the breeze had died a little.
