Dieselwind - fantastic! I'll be using that myself! (I may forget to credit you sometimes!)harlekin wrote:the wind is slow, to slow for sailing, so I have to use the dieselwind.
Blew really well here on Saturday. A steady 7 knots (9 over the ground) out of a 27 footer with half a tiny Jib and 2/3 of the main. And all the time in shorts and t-shirt.

Complete Bollix as usual, the correct quote is "Useless, unless you are stupid enough to fall overboard"aquaplane wrote:shorts t-shirt and a life jacket?Mark wrote:harlekin wrote: And all the time in shorts and t-shirt.

I mean, what use is it to wear a lifejacket if you don't fall in the water?

Most of those on here are based in Scottish waters. You could try YBW for more S coast sailors, but many will be at work most of the day.

You've certainly covered some ground, and I suppose you are now entering the "home straight". How has it been so far?

Re: my trip round GB
A problem by my self
I lost my Dinghi on the 4th of August on the way from Dartmouth to Swanage, South of Portland in heavy sea appr. 18:00.
I searched for it, but no result.
Next day, the 5th of August, I listen to VHF Portland Costguard, there got a report from a boat " finding a small inflatable Dinghi at
position 50°26,86'N; 002° 06,21'W
The Dinghi is white, whith a blue stripe round, Plastimo, the name of the Producer
I called back to Portland Coastguard, for information, it is my Dinghi and send a foto per e-mail.
They confirmed and tried to find it.
You will find the foto of the Dinghi in the capital page of my Blog http://harlekin2011.blogspot.com/
If anywhere have an information from somewhere, I am very glad to get an information
