Brilliant. Beat the resident Vega (Rob Whelton,Mavanier) in the Vega Challenge on Monday by 7 seconds. Sailed a wooden Laurin Koster today - amazing boat, pic below - and (less exciting but interesting) a Westerly Renown. Snorkelling for scallops in Loch Erkisort yesterday. Amazing craic, great people, traditional music and parties everywhere, tall ships coming in . . . and mostly sunny as well.

Back in Tobermory after a cracking sail across from Vatersay yesterday. On Mingulay on Monday.

We missed you by a few days, we were in Vatersay 4 or 5 days ago, with outstanding weather.

Since then we have been heading North, had a brilliant night in Wizards Pool in Loch Skipport where we befriended a seal who played with us in our tender for a an hour, just amazing. Golden Eagles and Otters as well.
Left Wizards Pool this morning for Loch Maddy to meet friends, on route we were confromted by the largest amount of dolphins we have ever seen, we could not count them, it was like a wall of them approaching Orla at full speed, we could'nt beleive what we were seeing, leaping all around us...... This is turning out to be one of our best trips ever...

Right, Nick gave me a guilt trip about not using Bluemoment yet, so here I am!
Was great to race against another Vega. Fairwinds beat us in two races, we beat them in one. So a rematch would be welcome, I think!
