Would I be tempting fate in saying the weather looks slightly better for the weekend and the following week?
If all goes to plan Shearwater will be heading round Mulligans Tyre sometime on Saturday.
Slight improvement?

Where are you off to Ian?
You may have noticed our berth empty -we're at Kilmelford for a while. Hope to be on the boat end next week -for our early July potter around Mull/Jura. I sincerely hope it doesn't degenerate to last early July. We got holed up in Plockton for 3 days in July 2010 with wind rarely dipping under 25Kts...

Long term for next week doesn't look to bad, The plan is Islay, Gigha, Jura, but that could change might be thinking about N.Ireland now but if it's SW when we set off probably not.pagoda wrote:Where are you off to Ian?

We were only a mile from the riots on tuesday night while we were on the pontoons in Abbercorn basin Belfast.
Sadly we were a day late for the start of the Maritime festival there, which started on thursday, met some of the tall ships heading up while we came down Belfast loch heading for Glenarm on wed
Crossed back from Glenarm to Carridale bay (enroute to lochRanza) in 17 to 23kt NW winds on thur which was comfortable.
Have a good cruise Ian, and Belfast marina worth visiting, after festival as otherwise full.
Next to the new Titanic building and W5 centre. Pontoons unmanned and only £8 per night, no facilities though, secure entry system. Belfast Port control on Chn 12
