Comp Crew / Day Skipper course on the Clyde 10th-15th April

Post by Nick »

.
Westbound Adventures are running a CC / DS course out of Ardrossan on 10th - 15th April. Provided the RYA see fit to renew my cruising instructor ticket I should be running it. There are no bookings yet, so if anyone wants to play a hideous practical joke on a friend they could recommend this course to them

Don't have anyone in mind, but I assume customers with non-preferred format logbooks are welcome?

I pride myself that I'm totally unaffected by advertising, but then I noticed this image from the WA website:

Suddenly I'm crying out for sailing qualifications... I need the lot. Competent coastal; Powerboat IV; Offshore Yachtbastard. Must have sailing certificates. Buy, buy, buy.

Last time L and I went to Scotland we took Ray Mear's living off the Sea/Land book. You would not believe how much first class wild seafood we had that week. That's right. None. :(

It seems to me there's a lot of people offering sailing lessons and nobody offering a "wild food" sailing trip. I'm too tight to pay for anything myself but I wonder if it would be popular with enough people to make it pay? Seriously.

Funny you should say that . . . another client of mine would be right into organising that for you. What about gourmet cruises on a Pilot Cutter?

With a Mischief paint job, and music cruises too. If Carlsberg did holidays...
