That was a great day for weather. I spent it on Beinn Dearg above Blair Atholl: inversion conditions and deer everywhere. We had spent the night in Kirkcaldy to get an early start north, but when in the morning discovery of missing boots was made, a frantic dash back into Edinburgh (including at one point 80 mph plus along Ferry Road) ensued.
