.
If your BlueMoment is looking a bit strange today don't worry. A few forums have been moved and the YotBlog top level grouping has vanished.
One new forum - Around The Scottish Coast -has been added. I realise it is a bit parochial, but Scots are probably a mojority on here. If anyone wants to act as a correspondent for other regions and promises to post a minimum of one relevant post per week themselves then I would be prepared to set up sub-forums for other regions around the coast.

Re: A wee re-organisation
Hope it works out Nick, but my initial reaction is that this may not be a good move. Can't see the need for it. YBW's Scuttlebutt became less interesting with the proliferation of regional forums; for example, the mud splashers forum has some really interesting posts, but most of the rest of us miss them as we have no motivation to read a forum dedicated to an area that we are unlikely to sail in. Much better top come across these wee gems by chance in a bigger forum, imho. Why not keep it general?
I'd organise a poll if I knew how to do it......

Re: A wee re-organisation
I've shut one forum down, so am not increasing the number. It is intended as a forum to publish news the editorial team come across that hasn't made an appearance elsewhere on here, and to make up in some small way for the paucity of Scottish coverage in other media.Shard wrote:Hope it works out Nick, but my initial reaction is that this may not be a good move. My original post made it quite clear that I woujld not be setting up any further regional fora unless there was a demand and someone to run them. I am wholly responsible for the Scottish Waters (boring) forum, so no skin off anyone's nose. You don't have to read it after all.
Haven't you got some work to do?
