Make sure the rowlocks can't snag on anything.
Ours is an XM brig rib with sort of pintles the oars are captively pivoted on.
Or they were, until the gales last week moved the (tied down) dinghy, leaving a pintle behind.
So now we have yet another little project before we are free to start the season.
on the upside, it does get up on the plane with one person now the big outboard is on.

I like the Yam 6 on ours……”loadsa-fun” on the plane, but as it is a detuned 8 it’s not so easy carrying the thing around.

It's a mariner 5 John.
Maybe the old 3.5 will re-appear as I seem to have strained my back getting it off the rib again!
Also - the laziness factor of leaving the lighter engine on the rib all the time is attractive, thirdly, I've just had a vision of me and the soupdragon dragging it to the tideline.
Looks like a hardly-used o/b is about to hit the market!
