Well that's a relief then! After a night of intensive therapy at the Loanhead Miner's Club I've only posted two music vids and sent one inoffensive PM. :mrgreen:

I don't remember it being in the charts although I do remember it being championed by John Peel in the late seventies/early eighties.

I was wrong. Wiki says it got to number 2. I do remember there being a fuss, or something odd about it, but I can't remember what that was.

I'm pretty sure the youtube version is a lot more polished and produced than the one I first heard JP playing. I could easily believe it had been produced in someone's front room with tape, scissors and glue.

That's definitely the original version. The album was 'Big Science' , fantastic, I have a casette tape of it somewhere.
