Bareboat charter from Castlebay, Barra, Outer Hebrides

Post by Nick »

.
Apologies for double posting, have just replied to a thread on Passages and Places but thought I would post it on here as well.

A friend who runs a single boat sailing school - Westbound Adventures- operates from Castlebay in Barra during the Summer months. This year he has decided to offer the boat, a Sigma 33C, to suitably qualified or experienced charterers on a bareboat basis at £1200 per week during June, July and August. Obviously this depends on there being no bookings for that particular week (or fortnight) for RYA courses, so if you are interested it would be best to book early.

The charter website is Westbound Charters. You will need Coastal Skipper or equivalent experience if you stay East of the Outer Hebrides, but if you want to go through the Sound of Barra or the Sound of Harris and out to St. Kilda you will need YM or equivalent experience.

(On a related note - anyone booking a Comp Crew / Day Skipper course with Westbound Adventures on the Clyde during April may be lucky enough to have me as an instructor!)
