Word of warning ...

Post by puddock »

Just a wee word of warning for anyone ventuing down to Dunstaffnage in the near future. think twice before you attempt to drive down to the lower parking area (unless you have a decent 4wd) as it is sheet ice. At least one cae had to be "rescued" by a passing 4x4 with winch. Today, I had to give a gentleman a lift to the station so he could catch a train to Glasgow, leaving his car behind/
Also, watch yourself walking about - it really is an ice-rink.

Oh, watch yourself turning off the main road at the entrance - sheet ice again. Be prepared to crab down the hill side ways.

I could cope with dancing on ice but I'm getting a bit old for digging them out of the 15" of snow we have lying here at the moment.
