And so another term ends. Lecturers looking haggard and bedraggled but mildly pleased that the toughest term of the year is in the bag.
HR have sent out their seasonal message of good cheer and reminded us all of the perils of a drunken fling in the broom cupboard with Angela from finance - much to Angela's disappointment. The good Dr Muz who shares the retirement stage with Wogan tomorrow has been the worse for drink since Monday and has found an unopened box of plastic wallets in his now tidy looking desk, which he is currently attempting to sell.
The Head of Catering and Food Production is a particularly spiteful sod and the current bout of gastrics is probably due to something he's infused the mince pies with. Financial crises abound and Big Kath who does something with the bad boys on the ground floor looks to have been in a punch up.
The Principal seems to have taken a shine to me and this bodes well for the increment and its intended destination of a new forestay.
Dear Heart has been taken over by the lists which is a sort of variation of the vapours in a planning environment and there are presents strewn about Claymore Towers as all is being prepared for the Christmas Cruise to Esjberg. Sadly - Claymore's name appears not on any single present so its probably quite a good job that I have treated myself.
So - just a couple more social functions to get braced for and then its awa tae the land of the long runny nose. (Check out the east coast profile of Denmark on an atlas)
I thank you for the company and companionship derived from Bluemoment during 2009. I wish you all a very happy Christmas and a Hogmanay that doesn't quite kill you. See you in 2010.
Greetings of the Season
