Looking over the Sleat peninsula to the Cuillin, I think.
Armadale, or maybe a wee bit further north, say Knock Bay?

Now then, Davie and Donald, you're both getting a bit closer, but not quite there yet.
Jamesie, my spies tell me that you're starting to go off the stuff they make here!

Ach, I'd got the ridge the wrang way roun! The left hand skyline is Pinnacle Ridge of Gillean, not the Dubhs.

Right enough Dave, Carbost, Loch Harport, Isle of Skye - the home of annoying adverts....
Take you're just in fae Glesga then? Sorry I missed it, but it's a busy time of the year.

Well, a day later...Shard wrote: Take you're just in fae Glesga then? Sorry I missed it, but it's a busy time of the year.
It was a no bad night - small and select as reported elsewhere. Busy, as expected, but we'd room to sit and blether. Being a Wetherspoons the prices were good, but the service was not. Behind the huge bar, stiff with thirsty wannabe drinkers, there seemed to be only one wee lassie from eastern Europe actually dispensing drink who knew how to do it. Another 3 or 4 rushed ineffectually from one end of the bar to the other clutching empty glasses and getting in each others' way. A few more made occasional, brief appearances, distracted the serving staff, then, without touching a glass, dissapeared again.
An object lesson in how not to run a bar. We finally resorted to buying double rounds so that we could spend more time drinking than waiting...
January might be better, possibly elsewhere. Bon Accord, maybe?

Now there's an idea. Just the thing for brightening up the new year and that flat period after the "festive" season.DaveS wrote: January might be better, possibly elsewhere. Bon Accord, maybe?
