Lakey has found Chiron on telly, foreign telly though it's Granada!
He posted in TOP (the den of iniquity called the lounge) to let us know, nice of him I thought, anyroad the slack tart is in this report.

The "local" to the boat is out of action for a bit, I hope they don't jack the prices up much more than £3:30 a pint to pay for it, we will drink even less there.

Your link doesn't work for me. All I'm getting is a blank screen!

.
Didn't see Chiron, just pics of a bigger than normal Windermere. River flooding is one thing, but the rapid and very significant rise of lake levels surprised me a bit. Your lakes are too small - our lochs don't fill up like that.
Glad to hear that Chiron is OK - have you been affected at all by the flooding? (Apart from the pub closure that is).

Strange - link works for me - click to start the VT - starts with adverts then News prog with vid in and outside pub - Chiron in background.
Loch Lomond was high at the end of last week - seen it higher but it's very early in the winter season so doesn't look too good for the rest of the winter.

Ah right, I obviously didn't notice Chiron in the background. Sorry Bob.
Ash, if Loch Lomond gets high enough this Winter you could escape to the sea!

Re: Chiron on telly
To be fair, you had to know what you were looking for, it's not exactly a closeup shot.
We have had a lot of surface water on the roads round here but no flooding yet, except the Ouse in York (30 miles away) but that always floods so it don't count.
The Watersedge pub has a lower bar that was closed off most of the year after last October's floods, a 1/50 yr event apparently. The whole pub copped for it this time, Lake 8' higher than normal. Let's hope they don't get battered again next year too or some folk may think the climate is changing.

It's funny that, it works on my Work PC which is unusual.
Well it takes me to the site but the vid won't play 'cos it thinks I'm in Switzerland.
