Haven't a clue, but, [wild guess] and it's from a few years ago, but I'm sure there are stacks and skerries on the west side of Mingulay like that [/wild guess]. We anchored overnight and landed on the bay on the east side of the island, making a hasty departure in a very uncomfortable swell in the morning. We sailed west through Caolas Bhearnaraigh, then north, passing Pabbay and Sandray etc, to Castlebay. Spectacular, but probably not your where-is-it.

Sorry gentlemen, but these two nasties are at the north end of Fair Isle.
There are very much better pictures of them on Google Earth.
Fair Isle is well worth a visit. A bit intimidating as you arrive, and when we were there a deceptively strong tide to carry you across the entrance of North Haven. It must be a really wild place in the winter.
Unfortunately this is the year they have chosen to dismantle and then replace the Bird Observatory so there was nowhere on the island a poor yottie could get a drink, plug into the internet or have a shower. Not much fun as it blew a gale and rained all day.

You never did do a proper write-up of "The Long Way - Hyskeir Sails to the Forth". It should definitely be available as a BlueMoment Log.
