Strange clouds

Post by puddock »

Saw these this afternoon in Stavanger. Very deep dimpled effect (cant really see it in the photo). Any ideas to what they are/ indicate? I noticed that the wind rose quite shaply not long before they arrived.

I think it means that thunder and lighting will start at about 20.00 (Noggie time), with heavy rain - and Scallops & Monkfish are to be had for supper..........

They are very similar to a new cloud type which is currently being investigated called 'undulatus'.

Will sne dthem off to the team investigating and see what they make of them.

.
May I recommend the Cloud Appreciation Society?

One of my brothers told me about it - he is a 767 driver and has contributed a few pics taken from the cockpit.
