The boat is pretty mankie as well
each to their own - rather a "mankie" (sp) boat with a dirty air$e than a trapped tit

I hope that C_W is too busy training/working/sailing to post and that he hasn't gone off in the huff.

I met him on the S/butt and found him to be thoroughly pleasant and he fries up a mean piece of bacon.

I found his ( sometimes sounding naive ) posts to be very entertaining and they are sorry missed.

Plus I really wanted a sail on the Hummingbird - that hull shape / transom should fly along.

Maybe Markie or FalkirkDan could persuade him to come back.

Appologies Claymore if you misunderstood. I was trying to make a pun on the fact that the previous post said one has a dirtier airse than the other . I didn't mean the boat was mankie as well. pehaps I should have worded it better and added a smilie or two.
Now I'm confused

Wouldn't worry too much about it. Lord Claymore doesn't do much sailing any more, and is presently recreating himself, treading the boards as Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, on account of princes having people to wipe their sterns, as it were, in a manner of speaking.

For some reason - and obviously I was wrong - I thought the age of the bus pass, bowel cancer test and winter fuel tokens might have earned me a little more respect than I had previously enjoyed.....

Boobydooby - no offence was caused or taken - merely my ready wit and repartit and I apologise for placing you in the invidious position of thinking that you had done so

Shard - away and shag spider. Anyway - I have been sailing. I was out on the ljimfiord last wednesday and again on thursday on a pleasure boat

Ah, the Ljimfiord, that brings back memories. Many years ago - in 1970 - I took part in a kayaking expedition round Mors. We thought it would be a doddle, just an inland sea compared to the West Coast of Scotland, but the wind and lack of depth set up a short chop that was a right barsteward to cope with. One of the funnier episodes concerned the guy who, while hanging onto a fence, put one leg out of his kayak into the water and immediately complained about severe cramps. The fence was electric...

We stayed in Thisted. Are you anywhere near there?

I enquired at Troon CC today about Bill and was told he has been away cruising for at least a month.
I'm surprised he hasn't been spotted lately.

Hi Huggy, we were wondering what happened - think the last we heard was that you were flying to Australia for a couple of weeks.. I'm assuming the boat's back in shape after the harbour battering in the storm.

Looking forward to the vids, tho' don't know if I have the bandwidth at the moment.

Best

Hmmm. Off to the Ionian in 2 weeks. Dunno if we'll decide to go North or South yet but if we go South to Zakyinthos where are you likely to be? Assuming you can tolerate a short meet up with two v. loud v. pissed w**kers and our patient better halves.

Markie, if you do meet up, can you hold the camera for him and pan slooooooooow so I don't get sea sick watching his otherwise hilarious vids, actually, forget that, the crap camera work adds a certain "I don't know what" as the French would say (if I could spell in French, I have trouble in English).
Seminole.
Cheers Bob.
