Well, they have had all day to sort it out and it is still pretty crap really. A lot of people seem to be geting p1ssed off with it, but I notice that none of them are posting on here,so I must have p1ssed them off even more :)

I am locked out of the lounge, all my posts go to moderation, so nothing I have written is posted.

This is what awaits new members, as I have re-registered under my forum name rather than the old one.. I have no idea how many posts are required before you get to see the [gregorian chant] lounge [/gregorian chant], but if I was a newbie and everything I wrote had to be read by the great Dan, I would tell them to stick their membership right up to their wee eyes.

Say goodbye to any new membership and live with the right wing 'I want my mummy' forum after 10pm, and 'look how sexually active I am for an old tart', before 10pm forum.

Not good, not good at all.

Seems a shame for what used to be a good site, but maybe Jools is right - some of the Lounge posts are bordering on being offensive for no good reason; not even mildly funny imho. Even someone who raised an issue, perhaps slightly awkwardly, having been a PBO subscriber since the 60s (obviously a handy guy to know), being burnt off by some arrogant kid. Pointless.

Anyway, time to hang up the keyboard and go sailing.

I got a knock-back using what I am sure was my old login name and pw. It may have something to do with new email address... who knows.
I will prolly re-register if only to be able to view pics, not being bothered about posting history.
It was interesting seeing the Lounge which I never went into until the spamgate bru-haha. What a lot of anal rubbish.

10.50:
Maintenance
Sorry, our forums are currently down for maintenance while we try to improve the stability.

As you may be aware, we have recently migrated our forums to a new system. Please bare with us while we iron everything out.

Please try again soon.
Makes me feel quite smug. Our modestly sized IT department managed to migrate this board from one system to another (OK, more closely related) and move servers not once but twice with almost no interruption to service. We even survived our own (fairly minor admittedly) spam attack without shutting the board down.

I am afraid the Peter Principle IMO renders corporate IT departments universally useless. It would probably have gone more smoothly if it HAD been left to Dan on his laptop.

It looks as if YBW have had to take down their entire website for some reason.

All I get for ybw.com is "service unavailable".

(Not that forums are mission critical to my lifestyle, but...)

I think the new software is confounding some of the lesser able old folk. Me included.

However, speed is better, and features are many. Its a bit like being stood in a barrel and being asked to piss in the corner.

I post here, there and well, here and there.

I love you all. Inc C_W who is indeed a fine chap, as is Sahona. And anyone I have forgotten.

I've been away so only tried today for the first time. Got in with no probs with usual login name and password but it seems to fall over a lot ( I think - I'm trying to multitask so not on TOP full time )

You may be short of stature, Nick, but it must be an advantage in cramped spaces.
