Patio -itis

Post by ParaHandy »

An affliction caused by the desire to build a plastic extension to the rear of a boat ..

Hersel' has demanded a sheltered area where she can take the morning air whilst scoffing her croisants and other occasions.

As far as I can tell, she's aware that such a device can not remain erected whilst underway but one can never tell whether such is considered by her a mere technicality espoused by a nitty norah. Her experience on a certain aged auld grey tub may have led her to believe so and she doesn't fully comprehend the difference between an ocean greyhound and the aforementioned tub. But, I wonder if mah fine auld tub could benefit from modern technology. After all, even the cheapest of convertible cars have a cover which upon flicking a switch retracts into some compartment ... or a coupe type of enclosure which could double as the hull of a dinghy which would answer hersel's criticism of the existing tender which seems always to get her airse wet ..

Such disrespect towards that pert appendage will find you in deep and smelly hot water ye Scaldie. I shall make it my business to see that it does. Now, on a serious note I observe that you refer to ma fine shup as the auld tub - the same auld tub, I presume, that you were begging me to get up tae the hameland in time fer next year's Chents Cruise. This on account of you not wanting tae spend - and I quote " anither feckkin minute oan Sadlers floating freezer"

And finally - your own fine craft - the passingwind30+. Ocean Geyhound.........?

I think not
