Well that's me up and had my two fried eggs just about to leave for Fairlie now, weather still looking bleak.
Will be in touch on my return next wk end.
Cheers, C_W

Re: Ready to go!
Well Eamonn, I could hear the weather this morning, so stayed tucked up in bed for a while.
I'm looking out now at bent trees and a foamy white-horse bay.
Showers of rain occasionally block my view.
Arran, Bute and Wee Cumbrae are gone for good.
It looks bleak up where Loch Fyne should be.
There's no-one out there, so you'll have plenty of sea room.
On the bright side, PIK Volmet say it's only 15Kn at 240deg, so it'll probably be OK if you close your eyes.
May see you out there, but not for a day or two. Enjoy and stay safe.

Should be OK now, except for the crowds on the canal.
The 'three peakers' are delivering this weekend in preparation for next...(well some of them anyway)

Re: Ready to go!
Met them at the summit yesterday afternoon they were looking forward to a shower and to dry out before a walk to Cairnbahn, unfortunatly I didn't make it back to the hotel to join them for a drink.

I will not stay young forever but, I can be immature for the rest of my day's!

It's a disaster - they have run out of bread.
Fortunately they are in Puilladobhrain. We are about to make an emergency food drop at the Tigh an Truish.

How wonderful that 60 years on from the Berlin Airlift, such humane gestures are still being carried out...

Do they sell soda bread in the Balvicar stores? Glad to hear they've made it as far as PD anyway.
