Celtic Connections

Post by Shuggy »

Having been at a few Celtic Connections concerts, I'm now watching the highlights on BBC Scotland and repeating my thoughts immediately after the TransAtlantic Sessions gig - with so many talented Scottish (& Irish musicians) on the stage, why were they wiped out by the Americans? Especially Nanci Griffith? Last time for me for the TA Sessions, I fear.

Mind you, wipes its arse with the Chents Cruise vid. Can I join in this year and send Ms Griffith a YouTube link? My shiny new Low D whistle is itching to feck your ear drums...

You'd better be there after that build-up Shuggy . . . and perhaps you can give me some pointers on how to annoy garredfox slighly less with my own wee whistle.

Ah yes - definitely hoping to be there. A little part of me is hoping that the white knight appears to buy the boat before then, but a big part hopes that's not the case too! Sadly I have to be at a christening on the Sunday so we should be appearing on the Thursday afternoon and disappearing in time to get back to Ardfern for Saturday night. So - a bit curtailed but better than nothing. Nick - looking forward to a duet!
